The New British Vogue…

The first issue for British Vogue under new Editor-in-chief Edward Enninful was recently unveiled. The December issue has stunning Ghanaian-British model of the moment and activist Adwoa Aboah on its cover, and in Enninful’s words, “Is dedicated to Great Britain and the creatives who represent it at home and abroad. Be sure of this: my Vogue will be the fashion bible”. A new chapter for the fashion press has just begun…

Pop Art in Prada’s SS 2018 Collection…

Always the visionary, Miuccia Prada once again created excitement mixing her love of art with fashion, in her SS 2018 collection for Prada. The set was covered with Pop-Art paintings, all done by female artists, and inspired by comic book heroines from the past century. A very special, powerful and strong collection, representing the independent, modern woman she designs for…

Mode à Venise…

The breathtakingly beautiful city of Venice was the perfect background for the November Vogue Paris editorial “Mode à Venise”, featuring one of my favorite models, Dutch supermodel Rianne Van Rompaey. Her hair is just beyond; makes such a strong statement!! The styling is also powerful and vibrant.
This fashion editorial is dramatic, alluring, bewitching… J’adore!!

The Timeless Issue…

Love these covers of Vogue Italia’s October “The Timeless” issue, featuring all time favorite model Lauren Hutton…
Quoting photographer Steven Klein: “A huge reason why I wanted to shoot the cover of the “Age Issue” was to be able to show a new take on how a woman over 70 could look. I was so excited to shoot Lauren Hutton for the cover. She is 74 and so vibrant and sexy. She also embraces her age. It’s important that a cover be more than just a photography; it needs to reflect our times and challenge and inspire”. Great quote for a great, inspiring issue!!

Giovanna Battaglia @ Bergdorf Goodman…

In celebration of fashionista and W magazine editor Giovanna Battaglia’s book, “Gio_Graphy: Fun in the Wild World of Fashion” recently launched at Bergdorf Goodman, the iconic retailer windows were taken over by Battaglia, reflecting her “larger than life personality”. Always loving a great window, I think these are great. and so much in the Battaglia style!!

Halloween…

This is one of the images I love and comes to my mind when thinking Halloween…
Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard wearing cat and dog masks in the iconic 1961 film “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”. Lovely, classic and timeless!!
In that spirit, Happy Halloween to all!!

After Maria; Renewal…

From my window, from the left, the day after Maria, and today…
I decided to be silent since the catastrophic Hurricane Maria hit our country, Puerto Rico…
Like most of us these past days, I have experienced a mixture of feelings, some unrecognizable by me before… fear, despair, hope, hopelessness,  grief,  compassion,  desperation, consideration, anger, kindness, indignation, tenderness, exasperation, tolerance, and a deep feeling of sadness…
I didn’t want to post on the destruction done by Maria… you have probably seen so much of that, as have I…
But life goes on, and so, with a broken heart and a sense of hope, inspired by the daily miracle of renewal our nature is giving us, we will move forward, finding inspiration in what we love, and carrying Puerto Rico deep within our hearts!
Dios bendiga nuestra isla!!!
